Mirror

Photographer Joachim Ladefoged is making the move from still to live images with the release of his first movie, MIRROR. The film is a visual journey into the world of bodybuilding, in a new and untraditional way. It is not the glorification of one bodybuilder like Arnold Schwarzenegger in "Pumping Iron", it is not about who is the best, the biggest or the winner, but more a picture of who the people are that practice such an extreme sport. It is a sport where they have to be very obsessed with their bodies, very egoistic and narcissistic, because the mirror is the only thing they have. A 100-meter runner has the time, a weightlifter has the weights, but a bodybuilder has only the mirror.
